Lorenzo Bellia isn't the kind of guy who likes to fuck around. Music is his life and he loves to have his fingers in different pies. To the loyal DOOMENTIA followers to whom he was known so far as 'Lore', drummer extraordinaire for speed-metal warmongers BARBARIAN, NOIA should instantly feel familiar. Except that here, Bellia has stepped out of his drum-stool and in front of the stage, as guitarist and vocalist. And whereas his main outfit aims at a clearly defined target ? mid-80's classic metal ? NOIA's recipe is a bit more wide open. Punk, hardcore, thrash? Whereas it'd be easy to just tagged them as a VENOM disciple that can't help but sneak various MOT?RHEAD elements ? don't they see themselves as playing 'raw black/thrash'? - the power-trio vision goes way beyond that simple recipe. And it's never been more obvious that on 'Obstinate Sacrifice', their fourth full-length and first for DOOMENTIA. No wonder they've been able to play on very eclectic bills, from pure death-metal orgy headlined by NATRON to death rock revivalists IN SOLITUDE or pure streetpunk Armageddon CHILDREN OF TECHNOLOGY? Then again, when those boys rock, they rock damn hard, as best exampled on such ragers as 'It's Only Lust?? In 37 minutes and nine songs, NOIA stay in the fast lane with their eyes firmly set on the road. So jump in or stay the fuck out of their way!
