Kalevala's first album People No Names (1972) is considered a prog rock masterpiece by many a music enthusiast, but it was also the end of the road for that incarnation of Kalevala. The band broke up in 1974 but eventually returned with a somewhat different lineup and recorded Boogie Jungle in early 1975.
Boogie Jungle was a departure from the softer progressive rock stylings of the first album and introduced a harder rocking approach. Alas, tragedy struck later in 1975 as guitar wizard Matti Kurkinen was killed in a car accident and the band's new rise was cut short.
Nearly equally rare as the first album on vinyl, this is the first time the material is being reissued on wax. With the original gatefold artwork and new liner notes. Welcome to the Boogie Jungle!
