* BAND BIO:
STORMWIND were founded in 1996 by guitar wizard Thomas Wolf inStockholm. Wolf, former Swedish karate champ and sparring partner ofDolph Lundgren, was soon explored as a great guitar talent in Sweden andreceived many awards, amongst others Wolf was the first Swedish act toperform at the International movie festival in Cannes.
After the Japan-only debut "Straight from your heart" (1996) and the conceptualalbum "Stargate" (1998) Thomas Wolf finally had the perfect line-up:super talented singer Thomas Vikström (ex-CANDLEMASS, BROZEN ABOTT, etc.),drummer Patrik Johansson (Ex-WITHOUT GRIEF), bassist Andreas Olsson andkeyboarder Kaspar Dahlquist (Ex-TREASURE LAND) built a brilliant teamwhich could be heard first on the neo-classical "Heaven can wait" albumin 1999.
The fourth album "Resurrection" was released in July 2000 andshowed an experienced band, rave press reviews and respectable salesfigures were more than deserved. The new album "Reflections"perfectionized STORMWIND's classical, epic sound, dominated by thefiligran guitar work by Thomas Wolf. The album was again produced byWolf himself and the result is more than worthwhile: from the fast, andso far heaviest STORMWIND track "War of Troy" to the epic "Ramses" thealbum convinces with great arrangements, intelligent lyrical stories andbrilliant musicianship. "REFELCTIONS" is a highlight of neo-classical,epic metal and will leave no one dissapointed!
