TROLL are one of the projects of Nagash (ex-Dimmu Borgir, Carpe Tenebrum, The Kovenant etc), and yet another band who were great in their early days. "Drep De Kristne" saw Nagash creating some traditional and one might say old school black metal, which emits some scorn for Christianity from the perspective of... well... a Troll. Laugh if must, but at the end of the day this is an interesting album. In fact, one of the darker symphonic black metal albums from over time. Amongst the darker elements, there are the occasional nod towards the vein of Finntroll or Korpiklaani yet not as over the top. For the most part, "Drep De Kristne" purveys sinister black metal and Nagash's vocals gurgle and spit tales of sheer trollish hatred. "Drep De Kristne" has its fair share of spacey, epic moments, whilst managing to maintain a gloomy, bitter aura throughout. An interesting revisitation to the past.
