While without a doubt Saracen are part of the legendary NWOBHM movement, when it comes to describing their music, it's not that easy anymore. Epic symphonic rock? AOR? Melodic metal? Progressive rock? Actually, all these labels would be fine. Saracen's debut album entitled 'Heroes, Saints And Fools' came out in 1981, and quickly became a cult classic of its own class, and on own terms. The band disbanded in 1985 (and returned in full glory almost two decades later), but before that, managed to release one more album, 'Change Of Heart', in 1983.
