BARBATOS emerged in early 1996 as a solo project by Yasuyuki Suzuki, known for being part of the band Abigail. In February 1998, Yasuyuki recorded the first official demo called '1942'. It contains 4 kamikaze of hate and destruction trax. There has been a very good response from the people who got the tape. After 2 split EP by Germany label, BARBATOS released the debut album "War! Speed and Power" by ISO666 Releases (Greece) in June 2001. It contains 12 new trax. The response was great. It has sold out many years ago.
Now it reissued officially finally with full "1942" demo as bonus tracks. This killer album off you crushingly thrash type of Heavy Metal with punk hints and lyrics about war, beer, sexual, metal inspired by bands like Warfare, Carnivore, Motorhead, Tank, At War And Venom... and in general getting inspiration from 80's Evil Heavy Metal. This reissue features brand new artwork to fit for black thrash style and liner notes by Yasuyuki himself that is packed with rare photos etc.
